You never know where life is going to take you. If you had told me a year ago that I would now be living in a house with a yard and a dog, I probably would have laughed at you. But here I am, granted, it is not my house, it is my mother in laws, but she's cool enough to share a bit of it with us.

It's 5 bedroom with two master's so it's really perfect for all of us. All of us being Jared, Tyler and I plus Torrie, my mother-in-law, and Caiti, my sister-in-law who is a senior in High School. Plus their 12 year old chocolate lab Cadberry and now, Jared's brand new puppy Mousse.

Here is a shot of the kitchen area, which is my favorite part of the new house. It's so big and open. I love it, plus it has this nice island where we usually eat which makes dinners nice and easy.

Cadberry (I'm not sure I'm spelling that right) loves the new tile floors, he misses the nice ocean breeze in Oxnard. Though, so do Torrie and Caiti... and me for that matter.

Here is the Dining room for Sunday dinners with Bob & Kate and family/friends.

This is what sold Torrie on the house, this is the big master bath with the rain shower...

and the jetted tub. (Ignore the ugly tile, it's a jetted tub!)

And this house came with a cute baby, I think I will keep him. At least until he turns two.

And here is the new baby. Mousse came from a breeder down in queen creek and is a cute little chocolate Lab who here is 7 weeks old.

Well, he's cute here because he's still snugly and sleepy, not biting your hand off, or chewing your shoes, or making a mess on the floor...

I have to say, however, he's proving to be a pretty good dog. He's now 9 weeks old, just two weeks after we got him, and he only bites now and then (my biggest pet peeve) and it's been about a week (knock on wood) since he's pooped in the house and now about 3-4 days since he's peed.

And today he stood at the door when he knew it was time for bed so he could go potty first. I didn't even say it was bed time, he wanted to go in his kennel and go to bed. Not bad for 9 weeks old. Though it helps that almost every morning I watch animal planet's "It's me or the Dog" or "Good Dog U" to learn how to train him. It's really helped. And Jared's really good with him!

Usually Cadberry ignores him or, when he reaches his breaking point nips at him. Once he even drew blood. So when I saw this where Cadberry let Mousse snuggle up and sleep with him, I had to take a picture. Too cute!

This is Mouse today playing with his rope. You can't really tell but he's already about doubled his size.

And then there is my #1 baby. Ty is now 71/2 months old (they really do grow so fast) and scoots like a champ (right off the side of the bed today) sits up by himself, can hold himself up while holding onto something (back of a chair, crib, though he can't pull himself up there yet) and can pull himself onto all fours. And as you can see, can sleep with his face smashed into his bed. :) He is also eating solids...

... like a pro. Here he is eating his favorite - prunes. He also discovered it makes great finger paint, all over mommy's arm! I was laughing so hard at his mess I had to get the camera.

He has it in his ears and nose, even the top and the back of his head.

He didn't see any reason mom should clean it all up though, mean mom!

All the solid foods is helping along a big growth spurt. His crib is being lowered and his activity bounce raised up a notch.

Each day I feed him in the mornings he looks bigger, and he has one little tooth popping out of the bottom of his mouth that he loves to use to bite mommy's chin, yeah. "Who me?"

He's also getting really good at talking, the other day I went to get him from his crib and he was babbling and I heard "da-dy" Then today he was having a really hard time sleeping and would start crying and when I walked in I heard (1st time) "ma maaaa" (second time) "maaaa" and (Jared also heard the third time) "mo myyyyy" Yeah, I really think he knows what he is saying and why. Can't be sure though, but I couldn't just pat him and walk out after that, I scooped him right up and snuggled him (and gave him baby tylenol after so many wake ups, something obviously hurts him, he never does this) and he hopefully will stay asleep now. But he sure knows how to melt his mommy's heart. And his Daddy's who was quick to point out that we heard "da-dy" first.
